The best gift to anyone wanting to cherish moments

After buying my girlfriend the Ubuntu Red Blush for Christmas she loved it, she cant get enough of it. So as her boyfriend i bought her the purple one next. (Which was on special)
Ubuntu really impressed me with their product, advertising, post sale service and the cherry on top was when they personally messaged my girlfriend to say thank you.

Honestly I'm amazed with the service and the product which has been in USE. It is a must have.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Ubuntu Memory Maker reusable?

yes! The Ubuntu Memory Maker is a reusable film camera, just swap out your used roll of film once it’s finished for a fresh one and start from scratch ;)

Do I need batteries for my Ubuntu Memory Maker?

Yes! You will need 1x brand new AA battery to power the flash on your camera.

How do I develop my film?

Once you have used up the film in your camera, you will have to go to your nearest film processing lab to get your photos developed. Your local processing lab can develop your photos as physical prints or digital scans, which will be emailed directly to your phone. Processing times will vary from lab to lab, but should take approximately 7-14 days to be fully developed.

What if there aren't film processing labs near me?

There are a number of film processing labs in South Africa that accept film via mail or drop off. You can easily find these labs by searching “Film processing near me” on google. If you are having any troubles finding a lab to process your film, please reach out to us at ubuntufilmco@gmail.com so that we can recommend labs in your local area. :)

How can i get the developed photos onto my phone?

The processing lab that processes your film can develop the photos as physical prints or digital scans, which will be emailed directly to your phone.

Is the Memory Maker compatible with any 35mm Film?

Yes! The Ubuntu Memory Maker reusable camera is compatible with any brand of 35mm film. Either 24 or 36 exposure film can be used in the camera - that just tells you how many photos there are per roll of film.

When should I use the flash?

We recommend always using the flash when taking photos - unless you are shooting in direct sunlight. We recommend changing the flash battery every 7-8 weeks, but leaving the flash on for extended periods of time will drain the battery life quicker - in which case you load a new battery and you’re good to go.

What do I do if my flash won't turn on?

If your flash isn’t turning on then it’s likely that the battery powering the flash has died. We recommend changing the battery every 7-8 weeks, however, leaving the flash “on” for extended periods of time can drain the battery life quicker - no need to panic though - just load a new AAA battery into your camera and you can go straight back to taking stunning pictures!

How do I travel with my new film camera?

Always travel with your memory maker in your hand luggage - the X-ray machines at customs used to inspect hand luggage use low levels of radiation that won’t cause visible damage to your film or your photos.

How many photos are on a roll of film?

Depending on the brand of film you buy, you can get either 24 or 36 photos per roll of film.
